Help Ukranian Refugees in Ireland

The Ukraine Response Fund

People are arriving in large numbers seeking the safety, shelter and security of our communities. It is estimated that up to 200,000 Ukranian people will travel to Ireland seeking refuge. The Ukraine Response Fund at The Community Foundation for Ireland will help address their many needs.

The challenges of a refugee crisis are varied and often complex. Immediate need, a safe home and basic necessities, access to schools, trauma assessment and medical help. Immigration issues, family reunifications, integration are coming to the fore as the crisis unfolds. In addition, children travelling on their own, those targeted by trafficking gangs as well as groups such as people with disabilities, members of the LGBTI+ community and children from orphanages all require specific protections and supports.

The Community Foundation which has partnered with migrant right groups, other support organisations and specific communities over the past 22-years is using its experience and expertise to launch the Ukraine Response Fund to meet the many needs of people arriving here.”

Assistance will be provided in the form of grants to organisations and groups who will be providing essential support. For more information see here:
